![]() REGIONAL NEWS FOR OREGON, WASHINGTON, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, AND ALASKA. Since assuming the task of Regional Representative of Region 11 (Oregon, Washington, B.C., Canada and Alaska) for ATHA (Association of Traditional Hooking Artists), my main mission has been, and still is, to introduce interested rug hookers to each other and to help find them a "home". You really do find another family when you join a group of inspiring, creative and fun-to-be-with fellow hookers! Rug hooking is so life-enriching it will help get you through good times and bad, hot summers and cold winters, and will leave you with a wonderful sense of accomplishment and treasured family heirlooms to pass on to future generations. In addition your home will be beautifully enhanced with your displayed creations! With this in mind, I will try to keep you updated on the "doings" of our region. Not only will the various group meetings in each area be listed, but also any "hook-ins", workshops, camps, or other special get-togethers that will be of interest to all of us. PLEASE NOTE: This will only be of value if you will send me your updated meeting times and special event information! Everyone will appreciate your early submissions so that they may have a chance to participate. Thank you! OREGON Group Meetings
